The play's not tricky, either. The Policy forbids *ceremonies*. A play is
not a ceremony.
Any documentably accurate thing that is authentic to our time period is
allowed except religious *ceremonies*.
Religious ceremonies must be conducted in a place that is not a central part
of the event, such as one's encampment. (In other words, no marriages on the
List field.)
It would certainly be polite, though, if putting on a religious play, to
make the event easily avoidable by those who aren't interested.
As for the rest of Magdalena's list, I'd love to see more of such things at
events.
Note, though, that for every documentable religious-theme decorated article,
there were probably secular counterparts that didn't survive because they
were more heavily used and not taken care of as well. I know some of the
Opus Anglicanum embroidery teachers I've met have found myriad documentation
for religious items, and *also* documentation for secular ones, though not
as much.
