[MR] APD testing please send me results!!

Greetings to the list, and a reminder that all non-apd or non-golf tube
arrow become illegal in the SCA in about 15 more days.

This is mostly addressed to the people (some of whom I don't remember names)
that told me that they would take a sample of the experimental APD I had
developed and test it. While I handed out over 50 of them, I have received
ZERO reports back from you.

I have sent the testing data to the SAM for the ridged golftube design APD,
with only my own test results.

 I gave out samples of it to various people and would ask that if you have
done ANY testing on them to please send me the results so that I can also
send that information to the SAM.

Not to call names, but several people with crossbows said they would test
them, and yet I have received no data....and I do not have a crossbow to
test them on. Has Anyone done any crossbow testing which I can send to the
SAM?

While there are now several approved devices on the web site, I still think
this design has a few advantages, otherwise I would not have continued to
persue it and put in the time and money which I have on it.  If you are one
of the folks who told me you would test it, and have not done so because the
other devices got approved first, then please either test it or drop me a
note telling me you are not going to test it so I won't be waiting for
results that do not come.

Our former Atlantian, Ldy Tessa the Huntress is the only person I know that
is also testing this design and who WILL send in the data.


I also continue to hear various rumors that the BOD will change the ruling
in its next meeting, or if enough people show up at Pennsic without the APDs
that they will let them fight......I have no idea where these rumors are
coming from, but if you have a better source than I do, then please share
it.

Based on my communication with the BOD and several of its members, as well
as others who are close to this issue, I can say that all those rumors are
FALSE.


If you think this APD ruling is going to go away, while I strongly wish that
was the case, it probably will not....once done things are seldom changed in
the SCA.

If you plan to shoot CA at Pennsic you had better take your golftubes or
refit your arrows with one of the approved devices, (I can only hope that
this design will be approved in a few days), or plan to sit out the battle
or use an alternate weapon's form if you are so authorized.
