Greetings to all who read this missive!
In accordance with the behest of the Society Exchequer, our barony has
changed the format of our raffle for the 1568 edition of the book
"Martyrologium", written by Usuardus. Because of the kind and overwhelming
dissemination of my original flyer, I ask that this follow-up letter be
forwarded to any email list where my original letter was sent so that all
may know of the new restriction on the raffle.

The raffle will take place, not at Pennsic as originally stated, but at
"A Viking Thyng" scheduled for September 28 - 30, since that event is being
hosted in our home kingdom. Our thanks to the College of Yarnvid for
allowing us to hold our raffle at their event. It promises to be a fun time
and gives us further excuse to come play with our neighbours. (Not that we
really needed the excuse, we were planning on it anyway).

Tickets can only be sold in Atlantia and not in any other locale.
Additionally, we've had a brave volunteer step forward to be in charge of
collecting the raffle monies. All monies will be collected and tracked by:

THL Felicia Catriona Morgan (Barbara G. Dodge)
8044 Kirby Haigh Circle
Norfolk VA 23518
(757) 588-8753 awench2000 at yahoo.com

Any one from outside the Kingdom of Atlantia who has already sent funds
for raffle tickets (envelope postmarked before July 4th, 2001) will have
their request for tickets honoured, all others will be returned to the
sender. However, since it is nigh unto impossible for this Lady to be at
every Atlantian event between now and "A Viking Thyng" all other requests
for tickets by mail must be postmarked from within the Kingdom of Atlantia
(As per the zipcode listings). VOID IF PROHIBITED BY LAW. This means check
the local laws where you are posting your mail.

I apologise to the Society at large for getting people's hopes up, but
the policy concerning mail-order tickets, while presently allowed, is also
"in flux" and we have been directed to discontinue it. If you have any
questions or comments, our seneschal, Lord Donovan Morgan, has graciously
offered to stand ready to respond (his email address is
bjornfrie at yahoo.com). He's really very nice. Honest.

If you're really excited about the possibility of owning such a book,
or of researching the acquisition of a period book for your own fund-raising
efforts, please do contact me at Rowanwald at sybercom.net. The search was as
frustrating and rewarding as you can imagine, and the list of books (many
far outside of our financial reach) was exhilarating. I had no idea so many
tomes of the past were still in existence.

    So to recap:
*"Through the mail" purchase of raffle tickets, must be postmarked from
within the Kingdom of Atlantia. VOID IF PROHIBITED BY LAW. This means,
check the local laws where you are posting your mail.

* The raffle itself will be held at "A Viking Thyng" in the Kingdom of
Atlantia on Sept 29th, 2001.

* If you decide to hold a raffle, do remember to put "Void Where Prohibited
By Law" on your flyer, and carefully research the gambling rules not just in
your home area, but also in your Kingdom at large.

In continued (albeit reduced in scope)
service to the Dream,

Baroness "if the shoe fits" Rosine of Rowanwald

Nobility depends not on parentage or place of birth,
but on breadth of compassion and depth of loving-kindness.
If we would be noble, let us be great-hearted.
