I personally think the idea(no pay-to-play) is equally good and bad

It is great for those who have sent their paperwork in to Milpitas but
havent recieved it back yet.

Things have never been anything but tight in our house, we still managed to
have two blue cards, (even if we did have to skip an event or two because we
couldn't afford the site fees) I don't believe that anyone can't afford a
blue card.
If you can afford the site fees to go to a few events you can afford the
Blue Card.

I also think this new policy will be greatly abused (abused in the sense
that this is an organization that we take part in, and enjoy and should be
proud to be PAID members of, if it can be afforded) I think that some people
will just choose not to be paid members since they can just pay their buck
and fight.

In big baronies, it will probably have no effect because they have all the
members they need but...

In smaller shires where there are empty officer slots (and ones who are
having trouble keeping the 5 sustaining members and 3 officers) these
non-members arent able to help keep their group functioning properly.

my two or three cents....
