[MR] Mistress Matilda

On February 3rd, the crown of the Midrealm placed my lady, Matilda
Hanscombe, on vigil for the laurel in consideration of her work in
Italian pottery. She is to be elevated on March 24th in Columbus, Ohio.

Although many of you likely know Matilda, others may wonder, as her name
when she lived in Isenfir was Johanna. She was not happy with that name
and, when we moved to the Middle, seized the opportunity to change it.

Matilda apprenticed to Hroar Stormgengr, who apprenticed to Anna Munro,
who apprenticed to Melisande de Belvoir. So congratulations to Melisande
are in order. If Matilda takes an apprentice, Melisande will be a great
great grandma, which I'm sure she will enjoy with the dignity and grace
befitting a lady of such advanced age.

Matilda's vigil will feature a large outdoor lawn games party with
strolling entertainers, that those awaiting their chance to help her
find Wisdom before her elevation shall have pleasant diversion. Although
we realize few Atlantians will be moved to travel to Ohio, we extend the
invitation withal and understand you would come if you could. (I tried
to have the thing done at Pennsic; but you can't always get what you
want.)
