I believe it is merely optimism -- some groups have
enough folks other than the officers who are willing
to work, that losing that handful of us does not make
running an event an impossibility. I'm not sure
running and event with your Seneschal and Exchequer at
least absent is a smart idea, but in some cases, it
could be pulled off.
