[MR] St Aedan, St. Aidan?

My uncle was a pretty devout catholic, I'm not so I cannot pretend to know 
much about saints.  However, when he died I got this book full of Catholic 
saints.

It lists a St. Aidan who died in 651 but doesn't say much about him.
It doesn't list any Aedan, but this doesn't mean much either.

What did interest me was this quote..."Of the millions of Catholick saints, 
the Church has selected for remembrance in the Roman Martyrology, in the 
latest count, about 4,387 by name and 83,675 by number."

Millions of saints, wow.  figuring who this guy is could be like finding a 
needle in a hay stack.
