Greetings,
June 15th - 17th Highland River Melees
Barony of Highland Foorde, Hagerstown, MD

Their Excellencies Baron Konrad der ruhige Bar and Baroness Isabella
Sterre invite one and all to our 2nd birthday celebration and the 14th
annual Highland RIver Melees.  The festivities will coincide with our
annual demo in the village of Hager.

Fighting:  Heavies and Combat Archers will take the field in a day of
melees.  There will also be melees for the rapiers.  Target archery will
be returning to the day's activities.  We also hope to have throwing
weapons.

A&S:  This year our display and competition will feature "Extreme
Accessories."  Please bring your articles for head, hands, feet and cod
pieces for display.  If you wish to enter the competition please add
documentation.  For further info please contact our arts officer Lady

Dancing:  A variety of dance classes are planned throughout the day.  In
the evening there will be dancing into the night.

Feast:  Lord Hugh Wallace will be offering a wonderful aromatic feast
with the help of House Blackstar and friends.  Feast will be limited to
100 so please reserve early.  Please contact Lord Hugh at
shariw at prodigy.net (301-739-5028) with any dietary concerns (especially
allergies and vegetarian concerns).  A bake sale will be held throughout
the day at the tavern for a wonderful variety of treats.

Site:  Hager House at City Park in Hagerstown, MD.  THis is a primitive
site, camping is welcomed and it is a dry site.  Pets are welcomed but
must be kept on a leash and controlled at all times.  The site opens at
5pm on Friday and closes at 12 noon on Sunday.  The demo is starts at
11pm on Saturday.  For more info contact the autocrats.

Merchants:  Are most welcomed and should contact the autocrats.  Site
fee is waived, but if you wish to stay for feast please send a
reservation.

Cost:  Onboard for adults is $9 and off board is $3.  Children up to age
6 are free, 7-12 are $4 for onboard and off board is free.  Make checks
payable to "The Barony of Highland Foorde/SCA Inc."
