On behalf of the Incipient Canton of Ritterwald, and the Barony of
Nottinghill Coill, as Autocrat for the Children's Renaissance Festival /
Demo, and the Seneschal of Ritterwald, I would like to thank all the
Scadians who came down to Aiken to support this demo. We had a terrific
turnout, approximately 38 gentles.
Scandians from the Barony of Hidden Mountain, the Barony of Nottinghill
Coill, and the Shire of Border Vale Keep were here to bring exposure for the
SCA to this part of the state.
The SCA was fortunate to be invited to this Children's Renaissance Festival,
sponsored by the Aiken Center for the Arts. The program coordinator for the
Center, Brenda Sleasman, was extremely pleased at the SCA turnout and the
amount of display material we were able to provide. She is quite
enthusiastic about the potential for this Festival as an annual event in
Aiken. As of this Sunday, the Aiken Standard and the Augusta Chronicle have
given the Festival a very nice write-up, with specific mention to the SCA
participation.
Thank you all once again,
In Service to the Society,
Lady Tharasia Danzadora
Incipient Canton of Ritterwald
