Yes and?  When an event states that there are NO children's activities, and 
parents bring them... it is the PARENTS who are still responsible for their 
children.  Period.

While SCA may be "child-friendly", it is still an organization of, by and for 
adults.  That means that the adults who have chosen to procreate and 
participate (both voluntary, I will point out) also *need* to assume total 
responsibility for the depth and breadth of their children's actions and 
activities.  If more childrens' activities are wanted at events, where are 
the volunteers?

Children's activities are WAY too often used as "dumping grounds" by 
oblivious parents who expect that for little to nothing, they have all-day 
childcare.  This is rude, ridiculous, and sure goes a long way to explaining 
why it isn't easy to plan and staff events that do have kids' activities.
