I am amazed at the number of posts that one link has caused, and even more
amazed that I have to step forward to defend our Baron!

Geez! Could we all lighten up a little on this?

As I teach in my classes, there is NO POLITICALLY CORRECT HUMOR.....by
definition, Comedy is a distortion of reality, a distortion which
generally mocks, sterotypes, exagerates, or otherwise lampoons an
individual, a group, or a specific behavior.

In politically correct circles there is never a "looser" and comedy
requires that someone LOSE.....be embarassed, mocked, etc.

The purpose may be to correct behavior considered as "outside the norm" of
society.........and herein lies the problem....in our society there is
little behavior or character trait considered as outside the
norm......there are few if any norms and the PC circles are trying to
bannish the few that exists so that anything is acceptable. In PC circles
even a joke about a child molester is frowned upon as in some way
discrimination against the actions of the child molester....sick but true!

Laugh or don't Laugh....its a matter of taste, of personal experience, or
identification with one or more of the characters in the cartoon.

Could we limit our comments to "that offended me" which is a valid
statement based upon an individual response and not arguable rather than a
statement of what is correct, or etc...which is certainly arguable.
