[MR] Jokes on the List

The wonder of a dancing bear is not how well it
dances, but that it dances at all.  

To me, the cartoon posted was not offensive because of
its content (I did not go look), but because I got it
at all.  Not to whine, but I am on quite a few SCA
email lists and several professional ones and a few
craft ones.  I generally get 50-100 emails a day, not
counting my work account.  If I wanted to get jokes,
prayers, chain e-mails or top 10 lists then I would
join THOSE email lists.  But I belong to the Merry
Rose to hear about activities in this kingdom and
generally to discuss things medieval. So I personally
would appreciate it if modern jokes - tasteless,
charming, whatever -  were not posted on this list at
all.
