Why respond privately, good gentle?  This is the kind of thing that
the Merry Rose should be for -- to learn more about our chosen hobby.

I can see responding privately to ISO requests, as there is no need
to splattercast personal information about individuals, but it takes
up no more bandwidth to post a URL or give other information than it
does to post "answered privately".

Please, if you have information to share, share with all of us!
