[MR] Atlantian Privateers at 20 Year

Greetings onto the populace of Atlantia from Cynwrig
ap Rhys, Lord Admiral.

Her Majesty is most anxious to see Her privateers in
action.  That being the case, there will be several
opportunities for members of Her populace to
demonstrate their diverse and many talents.  There
will be three activities for the privateers during 20
year.  There will be a Scribal display, a Privateer
Relay and a boat construction competition.  Here are
more details on all three activities:

Scribal Activities (Displayed on Saturday):

Their Majesties will sponsor a display to show off the
talent of their scribes.  Their Majesties are asking
that participants in this competition supply Letters
of Marque to be presented to those individuals who
excel in Privateering Activities.  A display table
will show off the Letters, and they will then be
presented to those persons who the Crown deem worthy
during their reign.  The wording of the Letter of
Marque is as follows:

AUTHORITY TO OPERATE UNDER THE ATLANTIAN LETTER OF
MARQUE

Know all that see these words that Their Majesties
Havordh and Mary-Grace, King and Queen of Atlantia,
being duly informed of our subject's prowess and good
deeds in Our name, do charge Our subject, [name of
subject], with the defense of Our fair shores.  We do
grant this authority under Our Letter of Marque,
issued April 7, AS XXXV.  With these duties We grant
the honor of wearing the Privateer's Scarf and flying
the flag of the Atlantian Privateers over those ships
and encampments operating under the Letter of Marque.

Privateer Relay (The Relay will occur during the
Rapier Melees):

There will be a privateer relay at the Atlantian 20
Year Celebration.  Each crew will consist of 2 rapier
fighters and 2 non-combatants.  The non-combatant must
not be authorized in any weapons form (heavy OR
light).  Details on the relay will be made available
at Atlantian 20 Year.

Boat Construction (Their Majesties will judge the
boats on Saturday sometime during the day):

Their Majesties desire and are in need of a navy to
defend the shores of this fair Kingdom.  Therefore a
competition will be held to find the crew that will
bring the finest ship to the Atlantian 20 Year
Celebration.  Her Majesty is confident in her loyal
subjects and their creativity and so wishes to grant
the greatest freedom to her shipwrights.  Therefore,
the following are the only guidelines:

a) The boat must, in the sole judgment of the Rapier
Marshallate, be safe for use in rapier combat.
b) The boat must, at all times during combat, be in
the form of a boat.  If the sides must be held up to
maintain the form of the boat, then those of the crew
holding up the boat will have a hard time fighting.
c) A minimum crew (4) must be able to be in the boat
at the same time.
d) The boat may be armed with tennis ball launchers. 
Again, these weapons must be safe as judged by the
Rapier Marshallate.

The boat will be judged on the following scale:

15 Points		Ship Name
10 Points		Overall Appearance
10 Points		Battle worthiness
10 Points		On-Board Weaponry (Tennis Ball Launcher)
15 Points		Creativity

Also, since privateers love to eat and drink, those
that give of their time to work in the kitchen or on
any field as water bearers will be considered
Atlantian Privateers, and receive Privateer scarves
and Authorization to Operate Under the Atlantian
Letter of Marque.
