I have heard these generic statements for years, and in groups other than
SCA. My question still is "Why does the leadership continue to make the
child's experience of SCA so meaningless? Where is the *encouragement* for
the children, and those adults who continue to volunteer their time to the
children, in spite of all the 'policy making' ? " Yes, when you are
dumped upon, you can also send them away too. And call down the parents for
doing so. But I also praise some parents that have stayed at my camp to
help, and even bring 'goodies' or a new craft to share with the 'day' crowd.
