I did not mean to imply that you are not doing a good
job, or that this particular joke was the limit of my
tolerance.  I was responding to a comment that
suggested that there should be no limits.

In my opinion part of the problem with the Merry Rose
is that it started as a chat opportunity (it is, after
all, a tavern) and became a semi-official posting. 
Thus, like lots of other things in the SCA, it is
schizophrenic to the core.  Sigh.  I guess I can't
change that, and I appreciate the suggestions to make
it more useful to my needs.
