[MR] Re: solution to jokes = too many e-mails

I get the lists in digest form when they get a bit of traffic, as the MR
does.  The Blackdiamond list down here gets little traffic by comparison,
and the SCA-Japanese list didn't give me all the messages in digest form.
Right now that makes 3 lists, not counting the mass-mailings that my Early
Music Ensemble director sends to everyone every 3 days.
And in the MR, many of the messages do not interest me (not to say that
they're 'noise' however.)  So I will scan through the index and look at
anything with an In Search Of or Musicians, or anything of a flame-like
nature (I love reading other people's flames, it gets me polarized for the
day.)
That's why I prefer to get private communication when I write to the list;
because I might not catch the Re: my message.
