[MR] Jokes on the List

One person's noise is another person's signal.  But
the signal to noise ratio will make people leave a
list.  So, somewhere the moderator DOES have to draw a
line, or you can end up in a situation where only
people who want to exchange jokes will be reading demo
flyers and event change announcements.  If I were not
a local seneschal and NEED to get those announcements
which frequently do not come to me in any other way, I
would have dropped off this list long ago as I think
it is mostly noise.
