In answer to your concerns, in my original post I said " can disseminate it
to my local group through meetings and our list" I realize very fully that
not everyone is electronically abled and even of those who are, many are not
on the Merry Rose. Posting timely or crucial information to the Merry Rose
does NOT reach everyone in Atlantia.
Not all groups have their own list. But, they do have meetings or phone
trees, or could pass the word at local gatherings, like fighter practices. I
would hope that the local seneschal has some input or involvement with some
of these and could spread the word or pass it on to the marshal to do so.
But, I also know that not everyone who plays in Atlantia plays with a local
group. For some it is by choice, some it is by location. So, I don't have a
problem with information being posted to the Merry Rose as well. Hey, when
you are trying to get urgent word out, saturation is a good thing!
Folks just have to remember that it is 1)Not official 2)Not reaching
EVERYONE 3)voluntary and 4) supposed to be FUN!
