[MR] Jokes on the List

I understand your concerns as they are valid but as I
explained on a baronial list once - when we restrict
the group lists (and by group lists I mean canton,
baronial kingdom etc.) to announcements only I think
we loose a little of the flavor of SCA in general.
And I don't see a problem with friends wanting to have
a little fun with each other.
However some of my non SCA groups solved this by
having two lists: one being a strictly
announcements-only list and the other being a
social/discussion list.
Maybe Atlantian computer activity has gotten so big
that it's time to do the same.
I'm sure that there's plenty of folks who would
complain that they're on too many lists already (in
the past some would say they're alreay on 20 some
would say they're already on 100) but it would solve a
situation for those who want announcements-only and
not the fun.
Come to think of it when the lists were split up those
that complained about being on too many lists already
ended up being those that joined the
announcements-only list first.<G>
