This is a very true statement.  The issue that exists though, is that this 
ruling will change the 'weight of the risk' for many people.  Lots of us 
HAVE done the 'weighing', and decided to do the 'dangerous' activities ... 
but that weight was based upon the fact knowing that there was only an 
EXTREMELY slight chance of outright death, and that most other stuff would 
be covered by insurance/disability insurance, etc ...

If the insurance laws are changed, then this reweighing will happen, and 
LOTS of people I am sure will start weighing to the other side.

On a slightly different note though, what I truly see happening with this 
law, is not that suddenly noone would be covering dangerous activities, but 
that instead, different plans would be offered.  Since they are not 
REQUIRED to cover these activities, insurance agencies would start offering 
additional protections at additional cost, possibly even based upon the 
sport at hand.
