Noble Friends of the Bow, Greetings.

Last year I floated a trial balloon about holding a Period Archery
Collegium and Shoot (see below for an updated description). We are
now just five months out from the date and the time as come to nail
down the classes and instructors.

We are looking for four one-hour sit-down classes on period archery
subjects. Suggested topics: making period arrows, building period
targets, making period leathers and other accessories, or whatever
you can come up with. Pure history classes are o.k., but the
preference is for classes with a practical application.

We are also hoping to have four classes in period shooting technique
done on the range with appropriate loaner equipment. Suggested
topics: shooting the Yumi bow, shooting with thumb ring, shooting
bows off the hand, shooting the crossbow, or whatever. Each of these
would be an hour long, and would involve actual range time.

Please let me know by the end of May if you can commit to teaching a
class. Filling the class schedule will determine whether we go ahead
with this project.

Yours Aye,
