There is a new video up on https://www.facebook.com/RedneckSkeet showing the archers shooting moving targets from the launch point. The slingshot is perpendicular to the range and protected by and embankment, so the archers aren’t on the video.

This new slingshot mount opens a lot of neat opportunities to set up a range with the slingshots throwing plague rat type or ball type duct tape targets. Of particular interest is a range with a very good back drop and aerial shots like skeet. Allen of Wolfhou is working on pulling that together for a future shoot.

If anyone is interested in setting up a range for an event soon, let me know. The easiest way to move the mounting system is to use the truck mount that goes in the receiver hitch, but there are other options depending on how much distance you need for your shoot. Just be careful in the design of your set up to make sure there isn’t additional risk based on the moving targets and the slingshot location.

The slingshot is a hoot for many mundane uses as well.

In (really fun) service,

Wiglaf

Wiglaf Sigeberhting

Sudentorre/Stierbach/Atlantia

MKA Leif Johnston
