Today again I saw the fruits of our labor with Atlatl and the rules we have set in place. I am convinced we did the right thing and are on the correct course with our thinking. Scores are starting to show up and they are right in line with where I expected them to be. Seeing even our seasoned throwers tells me that our course and scoring are set correctly, again we will give this a year to play out as we discussed. Also I have been asked by a few people so I thought I would discuss the topic here. There is no set rule governing the requirements for darts. There is no length requirement or specifics for materials or construction. All I would ask is that you participate with the “spirit of the game” in mind and we participate with honor and what we know of the equipment in mind. </div><div
class="yiv8161553172MsoNormal"> </div><div class="yiv8161553172MsoNormal">The other thing I just wanted to reiterate to all of our marshal’s is to please be diligent with running the line. I witnessed today a few occasions where a thrower would throw the dart and in the process of their shot, move up a bit and then throw again each time moving up into the range. I think I was doing the same thing when I threw. I just want to make sure the lines are kept equally and our throwers are kept safe, so please pay extra attention to the line while we all gain experience with this addition to our game. I want to thank you all again for the conversations, the suggestions and to all of you who took your own time to help setup practice ranges so people could try what we were preposing prior to the final decision.</div><div class="yiv8161553172MsoNormal"> </div><div class="yiv8161553172MsoNormal">In Service,</div><div class="yiv8161553172MsoNormal">
