<DIV>What a beautiful day. I plan to be at Grimm's this afternoon around
5:00 to shoot some archery. Hope to see some of the NVA archers there.
</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>I went out today and practiced with my thumb ring. Up to this
morning I haven't been able to draw my 60# horsebow (it hurts my thumb).
. I have been working with a 25# bow to learn the technique.
Today, it was so easy that I decided I would once again try to get to
full draw with the horsebow. It worked, I can get to full draw.
The interesting thing about this is that I utilize a learning technique
that works quite well. The second I learn a new physical skill I stop
and give it a couple of days or more rest. When I try it again I seem to
have it down. Even though I haven't practiced it. It actually
works better than if I had practiced it every day for the same period.
When I teach archery, I often use the same method. Teach a bit
then let them play and don't think about it. Next time they pick up
their bow, they have it.</DIV>

edge to the oppressive heat has been worn off, I find the desire to shoot my
bow increasing by leaps and bounds. In my boundless joy of all things archery
I feel that the joy of shooting is too much to be contained within one man, so
once again I call for all archers to come to Grimmsfield to share this joy
with me. We will be holding and extra practice on Sunday September 22 at 5 pm
till dark. This will not replace the Monday practice but rather a wonderful
addition to it. I look forward to seeing you all there. For info see <A
