Although the weather was a lot nicer than our Northern kin experienced, it too was an exciting time.</font>

<div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="arial" size="2">I am please to tell the archery community that our Queen and her Son </font><font class="Apple-style-span" face="arial">Benjamin</font><font class="Apple-style-span" face="arial" size="2"> again spent quite a bit of time on the range, and I got the feeling She didn't really want to leave...oh...and you should have seen the light in Her eyes when She commented on how satisfying it was to hear that Thwack! as the arrow lands solidly in the target. Sound familiar? Oh yes, She is hooked. </font></div>

<div><font class="Apple-style-span" face="arial" size="2">Her Majesty also enjoyed shooting Her first Royal Round, although She left her equipment at home and had to used borrowed gear. I will take the liberty of sharing with you that She wants to have a "Queen's Shoot" at YMIR this year. I do not know what form will take yet, nor who will be MiC, but I hope as many of you as possible are able to come in support of Her shoot. </font></div>

* summary: 3 station prize shoot, 1 practice/learning station, and a Royal
Round station. There were a total of 14 archers who participated in the Royal
Rounds and prize shoot. There were also 6 new archers who were being taught at
the practice range throughout the day.
* problems: Except for the wind, there were no problems. No one was injured and
there were no issues with people listening to the marshals.
* comments: First I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude and thanks
to Eirik Gralokkr for voluntarily marshaling and keeping up with the scoring and
target stations and to Lord Humfrey Lovett for all his help in setting up and
tearing down the target stations and helping me clean up the range. Without
these two gentleman this event would not have gone as well as it did. I would
also like to thank Ld Eduard, THL Lorelei, and Ld Tim Arrowfinder for helping
with the teaching of the newcomers and for assisting her Majesty. Lastly, I
would like to thank Lady Gertrude zu dem Walde, Lord Nikulas Akrapillar, and
Breanna Druse for all of their help in designing and building the prize shoot.
For the prize shoot we had 2 newcomers, Thomas Moore and Josh Wald, tie for
second place and win a prize at their very first event! All in all, that right
there is what makes me feel like this event was a success. Thank you to all who
helped.
