I thought at the very end the previous EM had taken the time to formalize his 'discretionary ruling'.  Grrrr, ok it is just wrong to have "unwritten"/conflicting rule out there!<br><br>Thanks for the correction Siegfried!<br>

Actually Baron Jonathas ... the new ruling was never actually put in place.<br>

It was put forward by the previous Earl Marshal, for comment, and after<br>
the uproar over how it was worded, he stated that it would apply as a<br>
'discretionary ruling / interpretation' for that year/summer, and then<br>
he would evaluate it further before making it permanent.<br>

He never made it permanent/official before he stepped down.<br>

Lorelei has been examining/evaluating the rules, and requested for that<br>
time-being that we all operated under the 'new guidance', but knowing<br>
that it's only that at the moment.<br>

She will come up with final wording, as part of this new process I'm sure.<br>
