<div>The autocrat cannot be expected to know all of the issue with all of the different disciplines. Heck, the MIC cannot be expected to know all of the issues (unless we are trying to say that the MIC must be a marshal of all disciplines, but I think that would only result in hard-to-find MIC's). The "owner" of the Target Archery at the event is the the Marshal in charge of Target Archery (TA MiC) at the event. The Autocrat, MiC, and TA MiC (plus the MiC's of all other disciplines) work together to figure out space and requirements. If the TAMiC is not part of the process, then one can hardly blame the MiC and Autocrat if things aren't perfect for what the TA MiC has in mind.</div>

<p>Please don't play the victim here. You were the one who brought this up in public, claiming that "in this neck of the woods, all autocrats always work hand-in-hand closely with their marshalls." All I did was counter with examples to show its clearly not the case. Its hardly "dirt and muck" to point out that, despite your assertions, your barony faces the same issue as the rest of the kingdom.</p>

<p>I'm not blaming the autocrat. And I never said my anger was directed there. These discussions center around the need for MICs to work more closely with their Autocrats, to educate them about kingdom-directed policy so they don't make decisions based in ignorance. In the course of that conversation, we look at prior events to see what went wrong and what can be done to improve future events. Its not about casting blame. We should be allowed to have honest and objective discussions about event archery without having to preface every remark with "I'm not pointing fingers, but..."</p>
