I also sent the king a message, in the same vein I think picking someone outside the usual high scorers, but with promise and who is a solid contributor to Atlantian archery.... Ruby is not good. I thought crown tourneys were to be all about the fighters..... revenge maybe. Saad I won't be at.

My concern about Ruby Joust is the lack of an impressive archery field, unless things have changed since I've been there, although there would be lots of people there.
SAAD would be ideal for the archers, but it's coming up pretty quick and it is also the same weekend as Queens Rapier Championship and kingdom war practice.
Spring Crown Tourney might be the best bet to showcase the archers. I don't know anything about the other event.
My two cents.

It appears that the King wants to pick an archery champion by competition.
I welcome comments on when WE would like that competition to take place. Then we can offer that to his Majesty.
Revenge of the Stitch IV (R) — My recommendation
Spring Crown Tournament (R) — Kings recommendation
Ruby Joust VI and Investiture (R) — Kings recommendation
Southern Atlantian Archery Day XI — Lady Arnbjorg's Recommendation
Please comment soon so I can respond to their Majesties.
