We have, over the past 15+ years had several archery merchants attend events in the North - Kingdom archery (No Frontiers), and Holiday Faire (Gregg the Archer and either Elk Ridge or Greybar), specifically. Gregg sold at Holiday Faire for several years.
>From what I can tell, none of them made enough of a profit to justify the expense, except perhaps Gregg, who is essentially local and was probably coming anyway. Granted, Holiday Faire isn't an archery event, but it draws a good number of archers.
What do you want them to sell? Bows? Arrows? Gloves, etc? The idea of a sampler for display and cards to order works if you know what you want, but if you're looking for a good used bow, or new arrows on the day, that obviously doesn't work.

Part of it is advertising - if you can entice one of the archery merchants to your event, you need to make sure every archer coming knows about it, and encourage them to shop. People get into the mindset that they'll shop at Pennsic, or at Baltimore Bowmen, or Denton Hill, where there are lots of choices, so they either don't have the funds available, or just aren't in the mindset to shop.

Good luck. It's always a good thing to have somewhere to pick up a set of arrows, or a new glove, or maybe some arrow-making supplies where you can see what you're getting, and it adds a bit to your event.
