[Archers] St. Sebastian's Station Scoring?

Ok cool.  As I said, I was actually already doing a 1/2/3 scheme mostly, but I thought I would put one challenge shot in there as a 4 or 5 pointer.  My idea is to do giraffes, with the big body as 1 pt, a wand as the neck for either 1 or 2 pts (standard wand with center stripe for higher point value), and a head that's a bobble for 3 points.  6 arrows, all head shots =18 pts.

I am just deciding how many giraffes to make, so that the optimal number of folks can be on the line at one time without overextending myself before Pennsic (I'm also rennovating a camper AND working with one other camp member to construct a new, massive common area for our camp).  I'm thinking two at minimum, three being optimal.  Maybe making the eye or ear of the giraffe head (one of them) as the bonus shot, but you have to hit all the heads before you can go for it or something like that.  Still brainstorming, but I'd like to throw something in there that is a challenge to our more advanced archers.

Thanks you all!  I'm so thankful to have such a supportive archery community!!

YIS,
Esa

Esa, please don’t change your scoring. I never said we were going to adopt this scheme. I want the target contributors to have all of the creativity they need!

I can easily adjust to a 1/2/3 pt. system.  This is just my first time making a target, and I think I had a fourth option for 4 points in there, too, for a headshot.  No worries.  :)

Again I don’t want to set limits on the creativity of our target creators, I just ask that prior to coming to Pennsic, run your target through (doesn’t have to actually shoot it) but assure that it wont become a bottle neck during our shoot. Just because it is more points in scoring wont necessarily mean it will slow down the field.

My initial designs/thoughts have my station scoring a perfect score of 30 points.  Certainly, that is open to revision if that is not in line with other stations.  Hope that helps :D

Has anyone decided on the scoring for their station yet?

I've come up with mine but want to know if it's in line with anyone else.

Thanks!

Mistress Matelle I think you are probably the first. I think it will be just
fine, unless they can score hundreds of points at that one station? :)
