Sorry should have been more clear there, no limit to darts on the timed rounds.....

I don't think there is.  We never discussed limiting the number of darts per timed rounds.

Corrected, unless their *is* a limit of 6 darts on the timed end.

After much consideration, reviewing all of the data and feedback from all of you I am pleased to announce our first draft of the Atlatl rules for Atlantia. I want to point out the following right up front:

Rules for Atlatl 

  1.        There will be 4 ends in an Atlatl round. 20 yards, 20 yards timed (30 seconds), 30 yards, 40 yards 
2.        Throwers will have 6 darts per end 
3.        The official Atlatl target will be the 120cm target placed either on a backer on the ground or on an archery target butt. No higher than 1 foot from the ground. 
4.        Scoring will be 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 for the consecutive rings vise the 5,4,3,2,1 as in archery. This will allow for better granularity for throwers. 
5.        Rankings will be: Novice, Thrower, Marksman, Hunter, Hunter Elite and Grand Hunter Elite 


  

  

I want to sincerely thank everyone for participating in this effort. All of you were a huge help and I thank you for helping me get this completed so I can focus on my next tasks on my list. 

  

Let’s get out and get some scores logged now so we can do an azimuth check to see how these rules are working!
