My Brothers and Sisters of the bow, I can't believe it is time to start this
again already but it seems it is. I have been in discussions with Mistress
Jean and Master Godric of the East about archery at Pennsic next year. We
(Atlantia) will once again be host the now 4th consecutive year in a row of
the popular St. Sebastian's shoot. I am seeing if we can get the shoot moved
back to the middle Sunday vise Saturday to give all of us and the archers a
better chance to attend. The theme for archery next year is "Safari" and we
were asked to follow the theme that will be used for war points and the
Champions shoot as well. So our theme next year for St. Sebastian's will be
"Safari" as well. This should leave us plenty of choices for targets.

So I am kicking off things tonight for sign-ups for help. I know it is early
and some of you think I might be more crazy than usual, but I usually start
these messages around now. We will need roughly 30 marshals to run the shoot
all day long. I would love to see some of our new marshal's that have never
helped at St. Sebastian's step forward to not only help marshal but maybe
contribute a target as well. I am looking for 13 stations again next year
and am hoping to once again break 300 archers in attendance. As always there
will be prizes for class winners, overall winner and helping marshals as
well. We will use 2 shifts again (morning 4 hours and afternoon 4 hours)
this way everyone except me will get to shoot!

I will keep you posted on the outcome of any decisions about which day the
shoot will take place and also any information on the Champion's team as
well. Sounds like we are going to possibly aligned with the Mid next Pennsic
so we should get maximum slots for archers I am thinking.

So here goes nothing...Who will be next?

In Service,

Janyn
