I like the idea. As I stated yesterday, I actually am looking autocrating an event in the future and would love to take an overview class that would help be be a better lead for the event so I will make it more fun for everyone attending. Including the marshals.

Not that any of my suggestions are the final word, God I hope not!, but this post causes me to do a rethink and I think the archery group could be the lead in this. I might even get stupid enough to lead the effort.......might...........

Here's the idea: Instead of requiring autocrats or event MICs to take the marshal class for archery, equestrian and heavy, my original three suggested disciplines, we have a single class that covers the " what you need to know" about live weapons, rapier, heavy, and equestrian. The objective is to provide autocrats and event MICs with an overview knowledge of these activities requirements. This single class would also act as less of a deterent to those who would like to do these functions.

Thoughts?
