...how can you be an MiC of an event, and not be in attendance at that event? The MiC has to be in attendance. (Am I wrong??)

He wrote... "Hi, my name is Gaston and I am your Marshal in Charge at Ymir this year, As I have been for the majority of the last 15 years."... so therefore in his own words he is the MIC. I just don't see how he can be the MiC and not be there???
