I thank you Master Jonathas for the offer and I ask that our Atlatl
contingency take him up on this offer. I would like to get real data and
feedback from both the 80cm and 122cm targets before making a final
decision.

The suggestion of a trial period is actually a good one though a much
shorter period would probably be better so that a final solution can be
found and real scores begin to be recorded.  To that end at Dun Carraig's
Birthday Aug 31 (aka Lochmere Arrow Shoot) the site has plenty of space, I
would gladly bring the 122cm target I already have and acquire a 80cm for
comparison sake.  Then at least the northern atlatl crowd could do a trial
run of several different proposals, if a southern event could do the same
thing in the very near future there would be a good baseline of actual
experience with the proposals fresh in everyone's minds to hopefully come to
a final decision on this discussion.
