Well, having returned from retaining duties at Court over the last 2 years (and getting decent exposure to other actvities and groups) I have to say that we don't fully appreciate how lucky we are. Atlantia Archery is *very* inclusive, low drama, low maintenance and casual compared to the rest.
I know we sometimes wish Kingdom would show us more love, but being "away" out on the back 40 has its advantages too! :)
Cheers

Atlantian Archery. Nothing exists within 100 yards without our permission.

I totally agree with Jonathas’ comment below. In my area the single activity that has brought more people into this silly club is archery. I like to think it’s because you don’t have to go through a lengthy authorization process, though I fully understand why and support it for heavy and rapier. I think it is also because the archery community is a welcoming community. How many times have I seen an archer of high skill, i.e. Colum, Seamus, Lorelei to name a few, put their bows down to help a newer person improve. A serious contrast to my combat archer days where the heavies actually played “volley ball” with a catapult “rock” on a field of arrows (wooden shafts in those days) with the prime objective of stepping on as many arrows as possible.
