Noble Friends,

Today is the feast day of St. Crispin, October 25. On this day in 1415,
Henry V's army of some 5,000 archers and 1,000 dismounted men-at-arms
faced as many as 30,000 Frenchmen across a muddy, recently plowed field
near modern Azincourt, France. A few hours later, at least 10,000 of the
French were dead, and possibly twice that number, giving the English one
of their most astounding victories of all times.

Your can read about the battle at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Agincourt or at
http://www.britishbattles.com/100-years-war/agincourt.htm .

And of course, there's the famous "Band of Brothers" speech, which is
probably pure Shakespeare, but still stirring. Nobody does is as well as
Kenneth Branagh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAvmLDkAgAM .

Yours Aye,

Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
