Subject: [Archers] Archery at Storvik Novice

Greetings!
"The Year is 1356. King Charles de Navarre is holed up in his castle in the mountainous country of Navarre. Nicknamed 'the Wicked,' King Charles is cruel, conniving, and consumed with the accumulation of power and wealth. He has played the French against the English for decades, crossing sides with every new treaty and furthering no good in this world. This winter, having failed in his attempt to unseat King John II of France and replace him with the Dauphin, Charles the Wicked retreated to Navarre. Though he has seldom visited the beautiful and remote White Castle, he waits here while plotting his next move. In France, John II decides he must imprison his Cousin to forestall any further attempts on his own life. He decides to send his Company of Archers, accompanied by his Men-at-Arms, to capture the White Castle and collect the King of Navarre, alive if possible. .."
On Saturday, the 30th of June, please join the Barony of Storvik at our yearly Novice Tournament at the beautiful Patuxent River Park. There will be target archery competitions designed to please all archers - - both Novices as well as Experienced archers will enjoy our shoot, "King Charles the Wicked and the White Castle of Navarre." Archers will have to shoot through the trees, avoid the King's soldiers, break into the castle chapel, feed themselves on fish and apples, find gold, and capture the King in the throne room, among other challenges. Inspections begin at 10 am.
