[Archers] First bow

M'Lord Grimm and Friends,

Thanks for this very interesting story. The size of the bow is curious. 
108 cm is approximately 42 inches. That's about the size of a 9 lb. Bear 
First Shot.  I'm sure this yew example had a higher draw weight than the 
little Bear, but it isn't likely to have been very high. One wonders 
about the effectiveness of such a weapon for hunting or warfare. It 
still could be lethal, but would only be useful at very close range.
