Greetings Archers of Atlantia:

Archers, please do not let road rage lead to you drawing your bow in anger.  Otherwise, you will end of like this man (see attached article).  Let this be a cautionary tale.

YIS,
-Conrad Engelhart

Bow and arrow used as road rage weapon in Montcalm County

MONTCALM COUNTY -- An enraged driver was jailed after he loaded a bow with an arrow and pointed it at another driver's head, Montcalm County police said.

A 23-year-old Shepherd man is facing felonious assault charges related to the road rage incident, Sheriff's Lt. Steven Russell said.

The conflict began at 5 p.m. Saturday when a 24-year-old Vestaburg man tried to pass the Shepherd's man pickup.

The pickup driver swerved at the passing vehicle, and it was run off the road, police said.

That led to a confrontation at Vickeryville Road and Tamarack Road in Home Township, where both men climbed out of the vehicles.

The Shepherd man "retrieved a bow and arrow from the back of his pickup, loaded the bow with an arrow and mechanical broadhead (hunting tip), pulled the bow back at full draw and approached the other man, holding the arrow to his head," police said.

The Vestaburg man retreated to his vehicle, left the scene and called police.

Deputies found the pickup driver at home, arrested him and lodged him in the Montcalm County Jail.

Police did not release his name, pending arraignment.
