[Archers] Miles buys beer

Ah yes, but as we are talking beers, here's a few to consider.

Anchor Steam beer - San Francisco brew. Very good, but a bit heavy.

Hobgoblin - Oh My G**! This beer is as dark as a Guiness but lighter on
the tongue. It has a very light coffee, chocolat after taste. This is
so good even Lady E will drink it and she doesn't like beer. This one
is much better in the keg than the bottle but very hard to find.
Americans drink Bushy Pop not real beer so most places don't stock
Hobgoblin! This brewery also makes a Fidlers Elbow that is lighter and,
in my estimation, not as good as the Hobgoblin.

Penn Dark - Really nice, but I can only find it at Pennsic. Their
porter is pretty good too.

Yuengling Black and Tan - Nice, not real expensive, carried in most
grocery stores. Their porter is also pretty good.

Boddingtons - I was first introduced to this pub ale in England. It
pours like a Guiness. You get a mug of head that settles out to a very
smooth, creamy lighter, read here amber color, ale. The can has a
widget inside that fizzes when you open it, so open and pour quickly.
Some pubs have this on tap.

Most Americans pour their Bushy Pop down the side of a tilted glass.
Beer's taste is enhanced by the bubbles, thus pour straight down the
middle and wait for the head to settle out. Now you have a tasty glass
of beer!

Friends,

Guinness is good. Even better is Wasatch (Utah) Brewery's Polygamy
Porter (Motto "Why have just one?"). Not only is it a great brew, but
with a motto like that, who can resist?

Kind regards,

Rumors? Only rumors? I thought that came with being last year's
champion!!! Of course, if you would rather "pay back" at Pennsic that
works. Penn Dark for me please. But please, above and beyond all else,
realize that anything with LITE or LIGHT on the label is simply not beer
but a total waste of ingredients! If it looks like a 7Up it isn't worth
it!
