Might we ask, from whom is the missive, below? Is that you, Gheyskjyn?

Inquiring mind want to know who you are before there is a case of mistaken
identity!

Signed, Geoffrey of Needwood Forest, archery marshall and archery champion,
Barony of Storvik

This is easy.  Yes, the autocrat does not have to be knowledgeable about every
activity going on at his/her event.  That is why they recruit others to run
activities.  When you are asked to be an MiC or a marshal of an activity at an
event, you must communicate your needs to the MiC and the autocrat.  They don't
have to know how to set up an archery range.  We do.  We must communicate what
we need and ensure we get it.

No classes.  No paperwork.  We have too much already.  If you are a marshal,
then you are the expert.  Communicate with your autocrat early and often.
