[Archers] loop string nocking

More importantly, you could experiement with this same concept WITHOUT
putting a knot in the string.  You could simply tie (or whip/serve) an
auxillary loop onto the string.

This could even allow 'playing' with the concept without making a
dedicated string to the task, as if it didn't work well, you could just
remove the loop.

Or one could take an endless loop style string (with straight fibers).
Split it open in the middle, serve each half independently, then serve
them back together above/below ... leaving a perfect 'eye' in the middle
of the string.
