This fall my newest hobby will be knapping. If you want to break the bottom out of a beer glass cleanly take a big nail or a field point with about three inches of arrow on it. Put it in the bottle, cap it with your finger and shake. Presto the bottom breaks out ready to be knapped without any side attached.

Collum showed us how to detatch the bottom of a beer bottle at Traditional Classic! it was very cool. I vagely remember him mentioning using it to make an arrowhead, but I was much too mesmerized by the idea of blowing out the bottom of a beer bottle with a penny!

Please tell us how it turns out!

So was this:
A) A safety tip, fitting the subject line;
B) cog attempting the penny blowing out the bottom of a beer bottle
(which I've got to see); or
C) cog's wife's response to cog's request for another beer to fix his
atlatl dart?

My guess is D) All of the above, but it seems we might have to wait for
cog to get medical attention before we find out. cog's a trooper,
though, for letting us know the results even before he finished wrapping
bandages. Way to go, CoG "the Hook" Atkins.

You know, I love archers. They get the jokes. Heavies, well for most
it's time they started wearing helmets!

Greetings All,

The "Blue Pages" were partially updated last night. Please check to see if you are on the Suspended list for class or membership expiration, and update the information via the form at the top of the page. I am told the rest of the updates will occur Monday. Please forward this to any Archery Marshals you know who are not on this list.

Thanks!
Lorelei
