Please forward this to your local archery groups e-lists if you have one.

Greetings fellow archers and marshals. Friends. I will be the MIC for target archery again this year for War of the Wings. I am looking for serious input about how the archery is done at War of the Wings. What did you like? What did you not like? What could be done differently, better, etc.

What can we do to make it more fun?

I am also looking for staff. The event has grown to a number that does not allow simply showing up on the range and helping out when you are there. Although I appreciate that immensely, I need firmer commitments from people. Like Gulf War and Pennsic War, we need a core group of folks willing to handle archery for War of the Wings, which continues to grow each year. They are projecting potentially 1000 participants this year and I believe the Gate will open for staff as early as Wednesday.

Since its inception, Christophe of Grey and myself have been the MICs twice each. No one has stepped up to be assistants or shown a willingness to be "trained" to carry on the event should the two of us want to do something else. I'm not complaining, just saying - and asking for input.

What do you envision it COULD be?

Are you interested in sponsoring a shoot?

Do you have a really cool target you're willing to bring?

Can you promise an hour or two at a designated time to help on the Line or with inspections?

Can you volunteer to help with set-up or pack-up?

Can you donate a prize for a shoot?

Thank you for listening, and thank you in advance for all your help.

Regards,
THL Lorelei Greenleaf
