One of Their duties is to recognize and honor those deserving of the many Orders and Awards in Atlantia, and they need your assistance. It is the nature of the situation that they cannot be everywhere and see everything good done within Atlantia. They must depend on you to be Their eyes and ears, to assist them in finding gentles worthy of recognition.<o:p></o:p></p><p><span class=textexposedshow>Look around you and see if there is someone Their Highnesses should consider for recognition during Their reign. Don’t wait for someone else to send in the recommendation. So many gentles are overlooked because often we think they “already have that award” or “I’m sure someone else has already nominated them”. Have fun looking up your friends on the Order of Precedence and see what awards they have and consider if there are other honors they deserve.</span><o:p></o:p></p><p>There is a new Electronic Recommendation System that has many lovely features, including making it easier for the Crown to see which events the person plans to attend an event. The new system also makes it easier for you to update information and events for the person you’ve nominated. If you made a nomination using the old recommendation system, please consider resubmitting it on the new system. It is possible to copy and paste much of the information from the old to the new system. (Thank you to those who have already taken this step.)<o:p></o:p></p><p>While it isn’t always possible, please try to submit suggestions 3-4 weeks out from an event. This will give the Crown time to evaluate options for each event and make life a bit easier for the scribes if they have more time to create award scrolls. Please don’t let this time suggestion prevent you from making recommendations closer to the day of the event.
