Around Atlantia in 40 Years


This A&S competition is open to any and all artisans in Atlantia.  The expectations are simple: Choose a moment in Atlantian history that is, in some way, memorable and worthy of commemorating artistically, use your preferred art form, and be sure there is a brief text recounting of the event to accompany the work.


What moment do you choose?

  *   A glorious battle

  *   A fantastic feast

  *   A comedic moment

  *   A heartfelt service

  *   A memorable event

  *   A treasured set of Monarchs

  *   A pivotal action

  *   A … memory that means something to you and you are willing to share


What art form may you use?

  *   Any you like

  *   Any your are confident with

  *   Any you have learned for this competition

Crafting in a permanent material such as paper, leather, or fiber, rendering in a consumable such as food or beverage, or creating in an artistic mode meant for performance or perusing such as poetry, story, or song are all acceptable.


What must accompany your entry?

  *   A brief text recounting of the event being memorialized in any text format you choose.

  *   An entry form

If you WISH to provide further documentation for the entry you MAY but it is not required for any entry. However documentation WILL be one of the judging categories.


What are the judging categories?

  *   Best documentation - judges’ choice

  *   Best use of chosen art form, experienced - judges’ choice

  *   Best use of chosen art form, novice - judges’ choice

  *   Most memorable moment captured - populace choice

  *   Most memorable and popular entry - populace choice


Who are the judges?

  *   Laurels in various art forms

  *   Royal peers





What are the prizes for the winners?

  *   A $25 gift certificate to the War of the Wings merchant of the winner’s choice

  *   A commemorative scroll
