[Atlantia-Announce] Spring Coronation A&S competitions

Hey there Atlantia, has all these photos of the super awesome cool stuff at
Kingdom Arts and Science Faire inspired you to create something? Then have
I got a deal for you. Spring Coronation is coming soon to a first weekend
in April near you. And, it comes fully loaded with all these Arts and
Sciences competitions designed with you in mind. Remember you can't win if
you don't enter.

1. Cultura Atlantia - this is a bi-annual competition held at every
Coronation and celebrating the culture of the new Majesties choosing. This
Spring we are exploring Middle Eastern Cultures from Marrakesh to Samarkand
and all places in between. Submit an object representing any "middle
eastern" culture from any era and perhaps you will walk away with the grand
prize. Documentation is required for this competition.
Several other prizes are being offered by individuals and groups.
1a. Mistress Azza al Shirazi longs for the comforts of her homeland. She is
offering a prize for best Persian item from the period of 800-1600 ce
documentation required
1b. The Madrasa is offering a prize for best middle eastern table setting
and
1c. Best middle eastern personal space these two prizes will be given for
over impression and documentation is not required.
1d. Bazaar goods- any item found or used within the grand souk can inspire
your entry. Documentation encouraged.

Saint Anne's Guild of Clothiers wants to see more hats- They are offering 3
prizes for your entries.
1- populous choice- the most beans wins
2- Historically accurate - this will be a judged prize
3- Her Majesties choice- this one seems pretty self explanatory

Mistress Kisaiya is offering a Pelican's Challenge (open to all gentles,
she just happens to be a Pelican) - Enter an item made to be used by
someone else. No Documentation required

Best use Textiles in an item-use your imagination and show us something
wonderful using at least one textile. Populous choice. documentation not
required but encouraged.
Novice competition- enter an item in an art form you have been working in
for less than 1 year. documentation encouraged but not required.

The Mariss Ghijs "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" Prize - This competition is open
to any item by any artist who has not entered an A&S competition in at
least 10 years, because the last time they entered something it was such a
horrible experience they vowed to never do it again. Only E-Z doc.

documentation will be accepted. And I promise no one will be mean.

In addition to these competitions there will be a static display area, and
an artists row is being worked out along with a performing arts pavilion.
