[Atlantia-Announce] Upcoming Scribal competitions in the south

Greetings!


There are several opportunities coming up in the next few months in the southern half of the kingdom for scribes to show off their talents outside of court.


Buckston Birthday Bash Blankapalooza, November 12th

Blanks!  This is an illumination competition to provide blank scrolls for both barony and kingdom.  Choose a destination and grab a brush.  Be bold and try something new, a bright color, a beautiful style, a bonzo material like leather, rock or wood!  Bling it and bring it!  There will be prizes for best executed and most creative in both baronial and kingdom blank categories.

At Yule Toy Tourney in December there will be a populace choice competition for children and youth blanks in both kingdom and baronial categories.

At Twelfth Night in January there will be a coat-of-arms/armorial display competition.  Choose a persona and display his/her arms in a fashion popular for their period. At the Tourney of Ymir in February there will be a Very Varangian competition.  Works should be Byzantine/Varangian in source or inspiration.  More information will be forthcoming as the date draws nearer.
